Help me give my students the tools to enhance their learning. I believe every student is capable to learn if given the proper materials. For students with disabilities, tools are essential to their learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are diverse and unique. They are eager to learn and they love their space in their classroom. Regardless of their disabilities and language barriers the students are always happy. I would like them to have access to better resources like bilingual books A-Z, a new easel where they can see what I write, a document camera so we can do the work together and some cushions to make their reading experience more enjoyable. These items will definitely make a difference in their learning experience and give them the same opportunity like any other child.
My Project
We have a bilingual special education class and all our students are visual and kinesthetic learners. Your donation to these materials will enhance our student's learning by allowing us to share student's work with the class. Students will learn using the document camera to edit their writing with their peers.
When teaching new concepts the easel will contribute to their learning by attaching anchor charts and/or modeling the lessons, introducing sight words and phonics in English, and Spanish using the whiteboard.
For students needing support using the magnetic feature could be used with magnetic letters.
