Our school is fortunate to have a beautiful space where students and staff go to practice mindfulness. The space, lovingly known as the Zen Zone is considered to be a safe space where students, staff and parents can be themselves. After a session, they often reflect on the practice and verbally share their thoughts, however, we want to pivot to a more personal means of reflecting, with individual journals.
The hope is that these inspirational journals will motivate even a reluctant writer, whether it be a student, staff or parent, to take a risk and jot down their thoughts, feelings and dreams.
The time and effort they put into a personal journal will act as a walk down memory lane for years to come.
