Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students' literacy awareness is very important to help them succeed in school. One fun way to do that is to allow our students to create their very own t-shirts to wear on Fridays to spread kindness. We will be able to personalize our t-shirts by using heat transfer vinyls to iron on words and images from books to help inspire more kindness on our school campus.
It is imperative that our students are able to make connections to their peers and engage in positive relationships with each other and school staff.
My hope is to help my students build more self-confidence and self-esteem when they see that everyone is able to read their messages of kindness. Our students will be able to learn how to be more sociable with their peers as they share their inspirational words of kindness with everyone. Help me give my students these t-shirts to facilitate more reading and social interactions with their grade level peers.
