This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students learn through play. Through play, children develop communication, social, physical, problem-solving and creative skills. My students love to role-play but my dramatic play area lacks options. I would love to build the dramatic play area with costumes and props so that students learn about different careers and they can imagine they are doctors, vets, and other important career leaders.
With your help, I can provide more engaging items to my class dramatic play center so that I can create an environment for children to explore, gain a sense of self, play with peers and build self-confidence.
Providing a creative drama space for my students will provide an outlet for them to express their thoughts, wishes and emotions. Acting out imaginary roles and situations encourages them to think critically and creatively.
