This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These students are amazing and have such a passion for reading! This year, the fifth grade team held a battle of the books with the first Rex Dexter book in the series. The students fell in love with the book and can’t wait to get their hands on the second and third book I would love to get these funded so they can read them over the summer! It is so hard as a teacher to find books that students are really engaged with, and these books did just that! My goal is to keep the students engaged with reading over the summer before they go to middle school.
