Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books are on the Battle of the Books list for 2025-2026. Students have a year to read at least 15 books from this list so that they can go to a district wide competition. We need these books so that our students can participate in this fun and challenging event! These books will be available for all students in our school to check out for many years to come, so the impact is great!

My students are highly motivated about this event and they love to read!

We have been waiting for the list of books and now we have it! I can't wait to announce this challenge to next year's 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! I know that many are going to want to join this amazing challenge.

My goal is to encourage reading and having these books in the library will give students access to great books and the possibility to be leaders in the school by showing others what they can do!
