Battle of the Books 2025-2026!

Help me give my students the Oregon Battle of the Books books that they need to compete and deepen their love of reading!

My Project

The students at our school LOVE reading, and they also love competitions. Put the two together, and you have Battle of the Books! Kids create teams at their school and read all the books on a list agreed upon throughout the state. Then they are put against other teams to see who can remember the most information in these books during a Jeopardy! style event. Students practice for months on this, reading and rereading the books and quizzing each other like crazy.

This project has 5 copies of all of the books for next year, along with a few others.

Every year, these books get the most use from our classroom libraries. Also, they're always fan favorites for book clubs in future years. I'm excited myself to read a bunch of them as well, because I always help judge a few battles a year!
