Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a Title I school with a large population of low income, at-risk, and limited English proficient students. Despite these hurdles, our school has managed to maintain itself among the highest performing schools in our large urban school district. We consistently earn recognition for our accomplishments from the state.
My students are all learning the fundamentals of baseball and we are working towards creating a winning team.
We need a pitching machine to help us during our practices after school.
Our community was affected by Hurricane Harvey and are still in the rebuilding stage. We are also rebuilding, we are rebuilding a team with aspirations for greatness.
My Project
The pitching machine will allow for more reps and drills for the players. The repetitions will give us the consistency of correct muscle memorization. The machine will give us the competitive edge that we need in order to go above and beyond this season.
It will give us an advantage of utilizing the machine as a tool for the players to constantly practice catching ground balls and fly balls on a daily basis.
In baseball you have to constantly practice your basic mechanics in order to improve yourself and to avoid making any mental and physical errors when attacking the ball.
