This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher/coach who is committed to fostering teamwork, physical fitness, and sportsmanship, I’m seeking donations to support our school's basketball program. The equipment we need includes high-quality basketballs and team jerseys for our student athletes. We will be having 4 basketball teams: 2nd/3rd boys, 2nd/3rd girls, 4th/5th Boys, and 4th/5th girls.

Currently, we lack enough proper equipment, and our athletes often have to share worn-out basketballs or play and practice without team jerseys.

This not only impacts their performance but also their sense of belonging and pride in their team. With your generous donations, I can provide each student with the opportunity to compete with the best equipment possible.

Why this is important: Physical activity is a crucial part of our students' development, both mentally and physically. Basketball is more than just a sport—it teaches them discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. By having their own jerseys and reliable basketballs, students will feel more connected to their team, take pride in their uniforms, and be motivated to perform their best.

The basketballs will be used in daily drills, practice sessions, and games to ensure that our athletes can develop their skills in a supportive environment.

What I’m requesting:

Basketballs: A set of durable, high-quality basketballs that can withstand intense practice sessions and games.

Team Jerseys: A set of jerseys in various sizes for both boys and girls, so every student has the uniform they need.

Pop up defenders: A set of pop up defenders so students can run drills with obstacles in the way.

Your donation will make a significant impact on these young athletes, helping them become not only better players but also better teammates and individuals.
