Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a second-year teacher at a college-prep public charter school, I’m working to create a supportive and engaging learning space where my 6th graders can thrive. This project will provide us with basic supplies—pencils, erasers, tissues, and colorful materials—to help students stay organized and excited about learning each day.
I’m also building a diverse classroom library filled with books that reflect my students’ identities and experiences, helping foster empathy and a love of reading.
