Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school, which means that the majority of the students are low income students. A great number of our students are new to the country and are English as a Second Language students. As new immigrants they struggle adjusting to our system.

We need the basics to build a world class education.

There are some basic things our class needs like dictionaries for our students and even a telephone for our class. Please consider donating to help our class build on a strong foundation to reach our academic goals.

My Project

We truly need just the basics sometimes and this is one of those times. Please donate so that I can help my students understand English and Spanish and work with improving their vocabulary more. We are a small school that truly does wonders with the budget that we have. We always achieve our goals but sometimes we struggle too hard and dedicate too much of our little resources in trying locate basic needs. We need Vox Spanish and English Student Dictionary PB Vox Paperback for students to translate words they don't know, we need a VTech DECT 6.0 CS6114 Cordless Phone with Caller ID/Call Waiting, White so that we can call the office in case of an emergency, we need Staples 2 Pocket Plastic Folder, Green because some students do not have them, and we need the Staples Pastel Multipurpose Paper, 20 lbs, 8.5" x 11", Assorted, 400/Pack because we make different color coded activities to make it easier for students that do not know the language. It is so much appreciated when you help us by donating. This project promotes diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion because it gives students from around the world the skills to communicate with each other. In Miami, we have students that do not speak English and students that do not speak Spanish. In our class we are building a bridge across the language and cultural gap to promote more understanding and acceptance.
