This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are motivated, ambitious scholars who take college classes while still attending high school as a part of the regular coursework. Students at my school achieve great success despite the obstacles some face.
With the support of donors like you, the limited income of their households has less of an impact on their future.
My goal is to ensure that no student misses an opportunity due to lack of resources. My school is in a busy inner city neighborhood of New York City where it is easy to not treat school as a priority in favor of less honorable activities. My students, however, have chosen to set goals and use education as the vessel to accomplish them!
My Project
My students need basic materials for our classroom so that they may display their work around the room.
My students work hard on their assignments so it would be nice to have the resources to be able to post their work around the room for all to see!
We would use the markers to write our work on the white board so that we can better share our thinking with one another. The stapler and paper cutter would be useful in posting more creative bulletin boards. The labels would be used to label their in class portfolios with their name.
