Basic Supplies to Succeed

Help me give my students the basic supplies needed for succeeding during these trying times.

My Students

My students are middle school students of great diversity from a low income urban area with a large percentage of special needs students. Each year 90% of my students qualify for free or reduced-priced lunches. My students have so much to offer, and I would love to offer a positive environment for them to feel success in learning.

Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment.

It’s clear that learning environments can have a direct impact on student achievement. I would love to empower my students by any means possible.

My Project

As we prepare for going back to school or at-home learning, I want to plan ahead and make sure my students go back in a safe way. I have caddies for each of my students. My goal is to create a caddy that they can keep at school that only the touch. Paper, pencil sharpeners and other supplies are needed.

My students live in a low-income area and cannot provide these basic supplies.

These basic supplies would allow my students to go back to school or be able to learn in a hybrid model in the safest way possible.
