This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are an eager and energetic group of Kindergarteners who love to learn! We are a Title I school located in Philadelphia. Our classroom is a safe haven where we can learn and grow together. We try our best and want so much to learn and make our teacher and families proud.

Many students are English language learners experiencing their first school days immersed in a foreign language.

As you can imagine, this can be a difficult transition for many. We learn and grow together every day!

My Project

Kindergarten students can be rough on supplies. These crayons, pencils, markers, pencil cases, and folders will be used daily by each student. These are necessities for the school year and need to hold up to all this use. These specific brands of supplies are tried and true and really do stand up to the 30 Kindergartners who will be using them.

Most of my students' families cannot afford to purchase all of the needed supplies for their children.

Having these supplies already in the classroom will be a huge weight off their shoulders. It will also ensure that each child starts the year off on the same foot with the same supplies in their pencil cases. Please help my students start the school year strong with the basic supplies in their hands!
