Basic Supplies to Open My Students Minds!

My Students

My students come from a low income area. They are unable to provide basic school supplies and the school district does not have a budget that allows the students to have these basic supplies. I teach students with disabilities that make them struggle to learn. Having these basic needs such as paper and arts and crafts supplies will allow my students every opportunity to be able to learn in many different ways and to learn really effectively. Having these basic supplies will allow lessons to come alive for my students.

My Project

Imagine being excited to learn, but lacking the basic supplies to do your assignments. That is what many students face. So, to make sure all of the students in my class have proper materials for school, I would like to provide them with basic school supplies. My students already struggle academically. These supplies such as folders, notebooks, colored pencils, and folders will allow my students to feel they have what they need in their classroom. Students will use these supplies every day. The notebooks will allow the students to have writing journals. The paper will allow my students to create their own hands-on bulletin boards.
