This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting some basic supplies to help my kindergarteners be successful in school. I strive to teach them how to be organized and give them the basic things they need throughout the day to access the curriculum. We use whiteboards for learning and being able to quickly erase and move to another thing (as simple as it sounds) is a big part of our day. Individual whiteboard erasers would help us do this.

Organization is a huge part of learning.

My students learn how to keep their papers organized to take home in Friday Folders, as well as to keep to make an end of year portfolio. This simple skill will not only help them in kindergarten, but also in life. Folders will help allow us to organize everything we do!

Art supplies, as well as basic supplies such as glue sticks are vital in kindergarten. Since many of my students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged families if items like these are not donated, I buy them so that my students do not miss out on important and fun learning opportunities.
