My Students
I am currently a fully self-contained preschool special education teacher in a Title I elementary school in Hawaii. I have preschool students with various disabilities (autism and developmentally delayed). Many students in my class have delays in the areas of pre-academics, adaptive, social-emotional, attention/behavior, speech-language and motor development.
My students are a great bunch that love learning and creating.
On a daily basis I need to differentiate for each students. I want to encourage my students to be independent learners and develop an intrinsic love for learning. I feel this will help my students to want to be independent lifelong learners.
My students are ambitious and eager to learn. You can see the excitement in their eyes when they see their work and the activities they create for learning.
My Project
We are about halfway through the school year, my students are running low on some basic supplies to help them be successful learners. Basic supplies will help my students create learning activities for their everyday learning. My students learn best through hands on activities. The supplies will enable us to save learning activities created by the students to be able to use over and over again.
We have a low budget to purchase supplies for markers, binders, paper, etc.
We could really benefit from your help to get some of these basic supplies. My students enjoy being creative and have made some great learning activities. With these supplies, we can continue to save student work, create learning activities and continue to learn using student made workjobs.
