This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project request may seem familiar if you search through DonorsChoose projects in New York City this school year. Usually teachers in NYC are given a stipend called "Teacher's Choice." This is money that teachers can use for items in their classroom. The money is historically allocated at the end of the summer. It is now two months into the school year ,and we haven't heard anything yet.

This project is for basic supplies for my classroom that I usually purchase in August to last the entire school year.

I have been purchasing copy paper, mailing labels, laminating sheets, and other materials that I use on a regular basis for my classroom out of my own pocket. It is really starting to add up.

With your help, I can keep the supplies coming and my students can keep learning and growing with these tools.
