This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a low-income district where our budget has been completely cut. Many families have been struggling financially, and it is hard to give their children basic school materials. Lessons are difficult to do without the basics.

Simple needs such as pencils, folders, and headphones will help my special education students really succeed in my classroom.

Unfortunately, many students’ families cannot afford to buy supplies for their children.

My special education students learn best when they have hands-on activities. We are in need of a stapler and tape to be able to do these lessons. Having these school supplies will allow them to be successful and learn in the best way for them. Having these supplies will make all the difference in the world.
