Basic Supplies for Superior Students

My Students

When most people go to work, they are greeted by a computer, a register, or a telephone. I get greeted by tiny, smiling faces that are eager to learn. These amazing students are the reason I gladly stay till five at night, come in on the weekends, and toss and turn at night thinking about their successes and areas of improvement.

There is growing scientific evidence that shows students environments greatly impact their ability to learn and their test scores.

My goal create a classroom environment and provide supplies that help students thrive to the best of their ability. My students are kind, giving, happy and dedicated to their education. Knowing that cheeseburgers are my favorite food, I often hear "Mrs. Crane, meet me in the cafeteria, cheeseburgers are on the menu today. You can share mine with me!" They have pride in who they are, how hard they work at school, and the bond we have made. At my school, more than half of our students are economically disadvantaged, and many come from foster programs and/or are English language learners. Donating to my class today will not only help my current students but also many more to come!

My Project

It's the small things that keep the class going on a daily basis. Crayons, glue sticks, card stock all help students engaged in academic, fun projects. White boards are my favorite in class tool, they allow students to practice penmanship, CVC words, math problems and much more in a green way!

Donating to my class will ensure that students have the supplies they need to continue learning and complete their assignments.

A lot of materials in my cart show how much hands on learning happens in our class. The more students participate and are engaged in their education the more they learn.
