Basic Supplies for Our Health Classroom

My students need basic classroom supplies such as paper, pencils, dry erase highlighters, poster board, post-its and easel pad & a Plicker card set. They also need Clorox wipes, tissue, and hand soap.

My Students

My students are inner-city​ students in grades sixth, seventh and eighth. We have a very diverse student population. Our school also has a wide range of academic levels. We strive to empower all our students to grow and be the best that they can be.

Our students are well behaved and strive for academic excellence.

All of my students are eligible to receive both the school breakfast and lunch daily for free. Most of our school population takes public transportation.

My Project

Students need access to basic school supplies. The items that have been requested will help enhance our Health Classroom. Being able to supply class sets of this materials will ensure that students are engaged and have access to items they might not otherwise have.

Students will use the Plicker cards to participate in class surveys, quizzes and games.

The students will use the poster boards to make group presentations on various topics. The class set of highlighters will be utilized during note taking. Students will use the post-it notes to place questions or comments in our 'parking lot'. The post-it sticky easel sheets will be used by students to present key notes on topics as they teach in a jig saw style back to their small group. They will be able to mount the notes and display the key information on their assigned topic(s). The tissues and hand soap will help keep everyone healthy while the Lysol wipes will keep our desk tops sanitary and clean.
