My Students

Our class is in a charter school. We have students from all over our county. The students in my classroom come from a variety of economic backgrounds, races, and religions. What the students all have in common though, is a love for learning science.

In our sixth-grade science classroom, students like to get their hands dirty.

They like to get out of their seats and do some applied science. They learn best by trying what they are learning.

The students in my classroom are ready to get their hands dirty and try stuff on their own. The students are ready to take control of their education. They want their teachers to relinquish control and stop lecturing and rather let the students themselves, discover information.

My Project

My kids need a lot of stuff to continue learning the way they want to. In order for us to do a lot of hands-on activities they need supplies and a lot of them. I am asking for some replenish supplies, some extra supplies to make learning groups smaller, and a few fun things to help my students understand hard concepts. We need markers, glue, a pencil sharpener, and stapler to help integrate art into our science discoveries.

With replenished supplies, extra supplies, and new supplies my students will be able to continue their hands-on lessons.

They'll be able to get more time on equipment to better help them understand concepts.
