Basic Supplies for English Language Learner Success

Help me give my students school supplies like pencils, journals, markers, and art materials to help my eager, multilingual 3rd graders learn, write, create, and thrive in a well-equipped classroom.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their incredible resilience, curiosity, and eagerness to learn—even when facing challenges like language barriers or limited resources. Many of my students are English language learners who bring rich cultural backgrounds, diverse experiences, and big dreams into our classroom each day. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and I am honored to help them build the language skills and confidence they need to thrive.

However, learning is hard when you don’t have the basics.

That’s why I’m requesting essential school supplies like pencils, dry-erase markers, journals, folders, and art materials. These resources will allow my students to focus on what matters most: learning, exploring, and expressing themselves. With dry-erase boards, students can quickly practice writing and spelling in small groups; with journals and writing tools, they can reflect, draft, and revise their thoughts. And with colorful art supplies, we can bring language learning to life through hands-on activities that support vocabulary development and self-expression.

Every item in this project will help create a classroom environment that’s welcoming, supportive, and ready for learning—a place where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered.
