To provide instruction in a meaningful way we use a variety of resources, including rigorous text discussions, accountable talk, small group reading instruction, book clubs, and whole-group mini-lessons that focus on Common Core standards. Considering that our physical building is over 40 years old and the curriculum is constantly changing, some of our materials are out of date, and our basic supplies are in high demand. Students in first grade grow by leaps and bounds, both personally and academically.
These materials will help my amazing students be successful during our school day!
The mesh zipper pouches will help students store their books safely to take home each night to practice reading. The laptop charging cart will help keep our technology manageable to help us learn. The card stock and velcro dots will be used to make games more durable. The expo markers will be used to practice handwriting, spelling, and math!
