Basic Supplies for Back to School

Help me give my students some brand new essential back-to-school supplies that will support every child's learning experience and success.

My Project

I teach a group of strong, passionate, eager diverse students that are so excited to begin their middle school learning experience.

I teach in a high-poverty section of Illinois located in Chicago with very limited resources.

100% of our students qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students don't even have the resources to further their learning at home.

However, with a little creativity, each student helps one another in order to further challenge their thinking. Each of my students learns through many different learning styles. It is very important to have the right tools to accommodate and continuously meet their needs either visually, auditory, or with many hands-on activities/projects that will help each student to stimulate their minds and encourage their exploration of many new learning concepts. I want to do everything I can to further support my students to accomplish their academic goals and success in life.

The classroom supplies chosen for this project are materials that are in high need to support every student’s learning experience. Each student will have their own bag of supplies such as paper, erasers, Expo markers, and other supplies of the sort that will have great use during every subjective lesson.

All supplies will help every student to stay fully engaged and to try their very best. These supplies will also help me to create anchor charts that will allow each student to reflect on the discussions we have during our mini-lessons.
