Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am writing to request your support in providing essential classroom supplies that can significantly enhance our teaching and learning environment. At my school we believe that every student deserves access to the best opportunities for academic success, regardless of their economic background.
In our efforts to improve reading skills and overall literacy, we conduct lessons where students actively write words, practice sound formation, and learn to recognize word patterns.
To support this hands-on learning process, we require:
Dry-erase boards: These allow students to practice writing repeatedly without the waste associated with paper.
Dry-erase markers: A critical tool that is used frequently in our daily lessons.
Clipboards: To support mobile writing stations and keep student work organized.
Storage solutions: To help maintain an organized, accessible supply area for our classroom materials.
Many of our students come from lower-income households and cannot always afford to bring these necessary supplies to school. By providing these items, you will directly contribute to leveling the playing field, ensuring that all students have the resources they need to succeed academically.
