My students are developing mathematicians and are in need for basic school supplies. The items listed in this project include everything from pencils, erasers, graphing paper, dry-erase markers, and other necessary supplies that will serve to only benefit them. By removing the added stress of acquiring simple things, like a pencil, students are able to dedicate their total energy to learning the material.
The expo markers, graphing paper, and erasers will also provide the resources to promote collaboration amongst peers.
We were very fortunate to receive dry-erase boards earlier in the year, and with the markers in this order, students will be able to work together to solve problems, show and apply their thinking, and further develop their identity as 'math students.'
