My Students
I am teaching a third-grade class of wonderful students in Northeastern Oklahoma. I have such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. My students are creative, unique, and hardworking. They deserve every opportunity to become successful lifelong learners.
My students are so proud to be a part of this amazing district.
We celebrate making reading gains in my classroom because reading is very important to us. We are working on building skills to improve and be college-ready citizens.
My Project
The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last.
By donating to our project, you will help the students be able to write on their whiteboards.
Students will be able to continue to use their whiteboards with the markers we are requesting. We are also requesting pencils.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
