My Students

My students are beyond sweet, hardworking and enjoy being at school. They feel safe and cared for here. My students come from diverse backgrounds. This year, more than 80% of my class received free lunch and majority of my kiddos could not afford basic supplies such as pencils, scissors, notebooks and erasers. Despite having difficult home lives, they come to school willing to work hard and eager to learn.

My students need basic school supplies and engaging books for literature studies.

I truly believe having basic and essential supplies helps children feel confident, be more successful in academics, and more importantly cared for. Thank you for your consideration and helping out our wonderful classroom.

My Project

Students will use their notebooks for interactive journaling and note taking. For example, the teacher and students will be working on literature studies throughout the year. Students will complete grammar, vocabulary, spelling and writing activities that align with the book and Arizona 3rd grade standards. They will need mead journal notebooks to complete the interactive activities. The assignments need to be cut out and glued into their books. Students will need scissors, glue and pencils to complete weekly assignments. Students will use the highlighters to highlight important details in their notes and passages.

The outcome goal is for students to feel prepared to learn with the proper supplies and materials.

I am hoping this will help my kiddos find a love for reading, improve comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, writing and reading skills.

In addition, students will be using dry erase boards during math class. The dry erase board markers and erasers will be used daily for problem solving in math.
