My Project

These materials will make a huge difference for our students by allowing them have a greater chance of success, especially for our students who truly need it. Most days I have many students in need of classroom basics such as pencils or paper, forget about project supplies! Unfortunately, as a teacher you have the choice to either supply these young scholars with the materials they need to get them learning, or let them sit there and hope they are able to retain information verbally. Of course I would never want the latter!

In the beginning of the school year students are usually given a supply but then once that supply runs out, the parents do not usually replenish these basic school materials such as pencils and markers.

Some of my students would fail to be able to keep their notes in one place, organize their work, and even start engaging in the lesson if I was unable to provide them supplies. I have always tried my best to offer students extra supplies like hand-me-down binders, folders, cheap notebooks, and of course pencils but sometimes it becomes unmanageable to have all of these items on demand throughout the year. I have become quite the regular at dollar stores getting these materials for my students.

When I ask students why they do not have these materials most of the time they just say they do not have enough money for it, their parents didn't buy them, or they used them all already. Sometimes all it takes is a little help to get even the most difficult student to engage in class and for me
