Help me give my students laundry items to assist with self care in our community.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Aldrete's classroom raised $491
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Ever felt like your clothes were dirty? Potentially not having the items needed to get them cleaned? Our students have come up with a great idea to help the community thrive. We would like to create a pantry where people in the community can get what they need.
Our students will set up a 'free' washing cycle where people in the community can wash their clothes.
The students will come up with a schedule Monday, Wednesday and Friday where community members can sign up to for a slot.
The students will create flyers to send out to the community and find ways to engage those around them to get more people to be helped. Students will go out into the neighborhood to identify those in need and see how they can help.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
