Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is made up of diligent, inspiring, and creative fourth graders with big hearts and analytical minds. They attend school every day with purpose and a desire to learn something new, to discuss what they think, and take pride in their efforts. My students learn in a bilingual community with a high level of family support. They attend our school with growing technology opportunities that enhance their approach, application, and articulation of their knowledge and their new learning. We balance this with creativity and physical opportunities with that support the development of persistence, teamwork, and determination.
My Project
As our curriculum's academic expectations continue to grow, our school's budget has continued to decrease. Teachers must continually find creative, efficient, and cost-effective ways to use the little resources we have to deliver a strong, rigorous, and appropriate academic program to our students.
This year, we need basic supplies of copy paper and pens to provide our students with what they deserve in an engaging curriculum.
The copy paper will be used throughout the curriculum to provide anchor minis, student practice opportunities, and academic rubrics for student work. The black pens will also be used throughout the reading and writing curriculum to provide the medium necessary for planning, drafting, conferencing, revising, and editing. The colored pens will allow students to have fun while they learn to annotate text and think critically about what they read. Having these basic supplies for each student will allow them to have what they need everyday in class to grow as successful students. Please consider supporting our students as they learn to be the best students they can.
