Help me give my students basic school supplies like colored pencils, notebooks, highlighters, and crayons. These items will allow them to have a successful distance learning in 5th grade.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic, smart 5th graders who would benefit from your donations. These students attend a Pre-Kindergarten - 8th-grade school. Our student body is 99% Latino. Our school is located in a low socio-economic, bilingual community. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. We are a Title I school that serves one of the poorest areas in the Los Angeles County. Most of these students are English language learners, many of which also come from disadvantaged homes.
My Project
Having these essential tools for my students will get them ready to learn during their distance learning. Much of our school population come from disadvantaged homes. Students do not have to feel stressed out about having their parents purchase such items that they would have normally received from the school. With these basic needs of crayons, colored pencils, notebooks, folders, and highlighters, they will be ready to learn from home during their remote distance learning. I want my students to have one less worry and am hopeful that they will be successful.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
