Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first grade teacher at a Title I school in Utah. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and my goal as their teacher is to make sure they all have a wonderful time at school. That may look different from day to day, but my mission is to provide all of my students with the education, love, and support each and every one of them deserves.

My project is seeking organizational supplies, as well as supplies to prepare student materials.

The first item on my list is for paper protectors. We practice fluency reads that have words students are working on. It makes it easy for me to hold on to the fluency reads, and store them in these protectors so I do not have to print them off over and over again. I am also seeking laminating sheets to laminate student work, skill posters, and decorations in the classroom so we can reuse these resources. I also have printing ink listed to print off worksheets, activities, and papers throughout the school day. My project also has a storage cart listed so I can store intervention activities, as well as other resources during the school day for students to access.
