Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal as a Speech Therapist in a special-needs, low-income school is to promote student independence through enhancing their communicative abilities. The best way I can do this is by using materials that the students find fun and engaging. Use of this ink and paper for printed paperwork and engaging activities in my Speech Therapy room will allow them to receive exciting sessions that cater to my their interests and promote curiosity.
Many of my students are highly motivated by colors.
Having colorful and abstract resources would allow me to incorporate their favorite things into the session, go on virtual "field trips" and challenge students by pushing them to their fullest potential.
