This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I'm a K4 teacher bilingual in a public school in the Southside in Milwaukee. Developmental preschool is such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are learning to read, write, and count, while some of their classmates are learning to imitate sounds or hold pencils and crayons. My classroom has 25 students, distributed as follows, 4 and 5 years. Some students receive the service for Special Education (speech therapy, behavior, assistance in academic areas such as reading, writing math). All my students are of low economic resources.

As my students make gains in my classroom, they begin to try small chunks of the day with their typically developing peers.

My classroom is about building skills to get included. The work we do in this classroom is building relationships, staying with the group, following directions, and accessing general education content in different ways. We celebrate little wins together each day together helping to create strong bonds of trust, fun, colorful teaching based on our standards.

My Project

My students are K-4 Bilingual from Milwaukee Public school (four to five years). The 85% of my students are from low-income homes.

Materials are essential school supplies some papers, cardstock, name tags, numbers and other material necessary in the classroom, also the parent may sometimes not be able to supply their kids.

For this reason I created this project!And also it will be a wonderful experience to have hands-on materials available for students to use at school. My students and I will be so thankful and excited for the help these items will provide.

That supplies its significant help learning development we set the future that our kids need to ensure the action required and success in our school year.
