This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of second grade students. I have a very diverse classroom environment that makes all of my students feel safe and welcomed. I have a wide range of students who come from all different backgrounds and each has a story that is unique and plays a factor in their learning. I run my classroom as if we are a family, a team, as leaders for each other. We support each others learning and we celebrate all our success.

I teach at a Title 1 School in the heart of a downtown Phoenix.

My student's don't have a lot and I try to give each of them all that I can. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. For the a lot of students, this is their only chance of the day to have a meal, and feel safe. Despite any hardship that my students face in their home lives, the students in my class are eager to learn and love school. Every child that enters my room is loved and knows that they are each and every day.

My Project

I am asking for colored ink to make colored copies for sight words and posters to help with learning. I am also asking for colorful paper to make copies, assignments, newsletters with as well. Lastly I would like a few books to go with a couple of assignments. The books I am asking for will have lessons that support them.

I would appreciate your donation and thank you for you considering donating to my classroom.

These supplies would be used weekly and throughout the entire school year. I would love to be able to color up my classroom with more appealing signs for students.
