Many of the tools that we use every day are basic supplies that support our learning and classroom and learning structures.
Tools such as electric pencil sharpeners, binders, and post-it paper are essential to keep things moving and also give students varied learning opportunities. Students use post-it paper to create posters in reading with character sketches and graphic organizers in their science and social studies vocabulary, and to share their thinking visibly with their peers! We are hopeful to use binders to capture best works throughout the year and house our data tracking and goal setting along the way and the pencil sharpener is like the classroom toaster - used EVERY day! These tools are essentials but also bring joy throughout our day and flexibility in our learning.
