Basic Art Supplies!

Help me give my students basic art supplies to work collaboratively as we finish out our school year!

My Project

An all-time favorite center in my kindergarten classroom is the "Art Center" year after year. Kindergarteners love having the freedom to explore their creativity using paint, scissors, markers and more.

Art engages children's senses in open-ended play and supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional and multisensory skills.

As children progress into elementary school and beyond, art continues to provide opportunities for brain development, mastery, self-esteem and creativity. In our art center, they are introduced to new tools and materials, and possible ways to use them. Then the children can decide what to create and how they want to do it. I am requesting papers, beads and pipe cleaners for bracelets, oil pastels and collaborative papers to work on.

I am able to provide basic crayon and marker colors, but kindergarteners need additional art supply choices to keep them engaged and exercise their creativity. If this project is fully funded, my kindergarteners will continue to develop a sense of their own individuality, a sense of self-respect, and an appreciation for others’ work through art.
