Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Eighth grade English is a small charter school located in a high-poverty area. Currently, 98% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Although I teach eighth grade English, I constantly strive to incorporate the arts into the curriculum whenever possible. On average, we complete one art project a week. Currently, our art supplies are dwindling down to a bare minimum. With the increase in California budget cuts this year, we no longer have sufficient funds to cover the cost of our desired art supplies.
These basic art supplies will help increase the effectiveness of our art projects in my classroom. They will also increase the motivation of my students because they enjoy incorporating the arts into our English curriculum.
You donation, whatever the size, will help bring my classroom one step closer. Thank you!
