Baseball Is Our Passion

My students need new composite baseball bats, game and practice baseballs, helmets and practice screens to enhance their baseball experience.

My Students

To many baseball is a sport, but to our team it is our passion, as well. While we don’t have our own funding and considering the fact that a majority of our students come from homes in a lower socioeconomic class, we still grind it out each and every day and maximize our resources to the best our abilities.

Despite the fact that our home field was unplayable for all but two home games our team excelled last season, falling short in our last game before the championship to be played at Yankee stadium.

We have over 20 dedicated players with one common goal; to improve our game each day, and to have some fun while doing it.

Our school is one the most academically proficient not only in New York State, but in the country, as well. While grades tend to be the number one priority for most in our school, for our players improving our skill set in the game we love is truly our passion.

My Project

We currently use outdated and worn equipment daily and we receive no funding for our program through the school. More baseballs, new bats, and new helmets will be incredibly useful for us everyday. Hitting nets and a tee would be very valuable pieces of equipment for us as we would be able to use these during our many necessary indoor practices.

Obtaining this equipment would mean that we would have more durable gear, more efficient practices, more productive games.

I can attest that we are a dedicated team that deserves to have new equipment. These funds would be greatly appreciated and would be put to good use.
