I am asking for books like The Kid in the Red Jacket, Aqualicious (Pinkalicious) and other books by these 2 authors to put together author study bins.
Author studies are important because they deepen understanding of literature and writing by examining an author's work, life, and writing style.
They help students develop critical thinking, research, and reading skills while fostering a love for literature and authors.
Barbara Park was best-known as the creator and author of the Junie B. Jones series, the stories of an outrageously funny kindergartener that have kept kids (and their grownups) laughing and reading for over two decades, but I have included other books by her in the project that I do not have. My plan is to do this author study with 3rd graders in the library.
Victoria Kann is the author-artist of Rubylicious, Aqualicious, Emeraldalicious, Silverlicious, Goldilicous and of course Pinkalicious and Purplicious. I do not have any of her books and I would love to do a unit with 1st graders in the library.
