Bang Bang on the Drum All Day!

Help me give my students new percussion mallets in order to properly learn how to play keyboard and auxiliary instruments.

My Project

Our band program is about to receive a lot of nice, new percussion equipment, but we don't have new mallets to match! All of our xylophone, bass drum, and gong mallets are old, mismatched, and in various states of disrepair. Most have not been replaced since I started teaching at this school 12 years ago.

Having appropriate mallets is essential for students to build their playing technique and improve their sound.

This is also a great opportunity to teach them how to properly care for their equipment and allow them to develop a sense of pride in their work.

I know my students will be so excited to have equipment that works well and to not have to dig through our percussion cabinet in search of mallets. This will absolutely enhance their experience in band class for years to come!
