This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The thing I love about my students is how resilient they are. Though this past year has been crazy, I must say, for the most part, they have been about 86% successful, compared to the year prior when we had over 100 students. Speaking of last year, I must say, it was hectic, being we had administrative turnovers, teacher turnovers, and now the district takeover.

This year, with all that is happening, I do not want to stop the momentum of my students' learning.

I want to make it a priority that my students stay and remain prepared for band class. Thus, I am asking for these materials so my students can not only have instruments but have the materials to keep their sheet music and writing utensils. With these supplies, my students will learn organization, neatness, and creativity. I will not have to continually give students music because their binders will hold the music and protect it. Therefore, when they turn it back in for the year, they will be neat.
