My Project
The pandemic has caused many people to become isolated and avoid large groups. My students are no exception. They were just getting to the age where they could join team sports and activities when the world shut down. Even if they finally have been able to get back into team activities, many of them are not able to because their parents are working harder than ever to make rent and mortgage payments. Some have even lost cars and don't have transportation to their activities.
Never fear, Mrs. J.s' band classes to the rescue!
Students are able to participate in a team activity right in school. They make new friends, perform together and create music together. It gives them an expressive outlet they just can't get from being in their classroom. These new mouthpieces, straps, and other equipment will allow even more students to participate and have new materials to use instead of the old worn out equipment that the school currently has.
