Help me give my students their own Essential Elements book for band! These books are important for students to participate and learn a new skill of playing an instrument for the first time.
We are in an urban district and my students come from a wide range of backgrounds.
They go from having very little knowledge of music or playing a band instrument to being able to perform in a full ensemble in a matter of months. I have the privilege of being able to teach most of my students over the course of their three years of middle school.
My Project
Our students need an Essential Elements book to be a successful beginning band student. In normal school years, we might share books at school, but with social distancing, it's essential that every student has their own book. These books will ensure our students can participate and be a part of the band.
We return to hybrid learning on October 19th.
The students will use these books while at school for in-person learning and when at home for virtual learning. If each student has a book, we can all play together.
