Help me give my students Boomwhackers! What are Boomwhackers? I'm so glad you asked! They are colorful pitched tubes so that the youngest students can make melodies by simply striking a plastic tube!

My Project
Boomwhackers exploded into music education over 20 years ago and remain super popular in music classrooms today. They are pitched tubes that can be played easily by students young and old, used to play existing melodies and compose new melodies, and expand musical thinking by making it colorful and visually deeper. The colors become associated with the specific pitches, which helps expand their pitch knowledge from instrumental to vocal, and thus improves their singing accuracy starting from a young age. They are also adaptive as they can be struck with a mallet, against the body, or with each other allowing students with physical differences to actively participate in instrumental melodic music.
