Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
With 95% of students that attend B. ES come from disadvantaged economic families. Many times when you ask students to complete a project or do an activity, you often get responses “I don’t have those materials, or my parents can’t afford them.” It sad that a child has to go through this and as many other teachers around the states don't mind chipping in. I wish I made enough money to help my babies even more. With that said, my students are very hands-on visual learners. At Bonham, as teachers we try to incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group projects and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a home. In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long writers. The crayons and markers will be a great resource for their creative minds to come out and be able to write and draw, the headsets will allowed them to be noise-free when taking tests or doing any type of computer work and the notebooks will allow them to write have all those wonderful thoughts that are building up in their brains! Thank you in advance for wanting to change these child’s lives!
