Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What makes my scholars special is that they have a passion to strive for lifelong learning. Their perseverance is out of this world because they have a heart of gold and always give it 100%. They are fully aware that it’s important in any new situation to question everything. They understand why things have been done a certain way, and because of that, they are eager to step out of the box and face challenges. Their strive to take in all that they have learned and implement it in their daily lives is an inspiration to all the teachers who have seen their growth and success.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where our Cricut machine will go. We just need your help in getting it through our door! I can already see the center that I will use for students to brainstorm when they create their very own t-shirts. Who doesn’t like creating their very own authentic shirt!? The Cricut machine will be used to help my students to become independent entrepreneurs while we are teaching them about financial literacy. In fourth grade, we teach our students how to determine their type of business that they would like to have and learn about budgeting. They will be able to create their own t-shirt and try to sell them in our grade level fundraiser for our end of their year party.
In my classroom, my students have an eye for design ideas, so let's make this dream come true.
This will be an awesome opportunity to use the Cricut machine as an incentive in the classroom. The Cricut machine will also be used during our fall into reading projects when they have to come up with their very own book character costumes. Let's bring this project to life and see how many creative, awesome t-shirts are created throughout the year.
