This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My high school students range from 14 to 18 years old. The most amazing thing about our school is the great diversity in our student body. They have inquiring young minds that love to participate in hands-on activities and projects. They love collaboration and sharing ideas with others.

They are so very excited and looking forward to their futures when they graduate!

Most of my students are looking forward to moving out of their parents' home, working, and being involved in their community when they finish school. Others are looking to continue their education in a college or vocational/trade training program.

My Project

These supplies are a basic necessity for my students to be able to create projects that show their creativity and allow for their knowledge to shine through. Our classroom has science tables with stools that are very uncomfortable. We would like to try the gym balls as an option. The rest of the supplies are the basic needs for creating posters that allow them to share their knowledge. They will do research about different biomes for example and use posters to draw typical animal and plants from it to show their adaptations.
